The scout tower gives you extra battlefield visibility by informing you about the locations of enemies in your culture. The rate at which the scout tower reports is configurable in order to be less or more spammy as you desire. Scout towers also deter spies by increasing their Exposure more quickly when they are in range.
- Range: 150 blocks.
- Scout tower rate: can set using the command (/town set scoutrate [20,30,60 seconds]).
- Increases tower range by 50% and will increase tower range by 75% combined with Broadcast Tower.
The Scout Tower is a critical structure to the defense of a town. Unlike the Arrow Tower or Cannon Tower it has a much larger effective range and does not fire upon enemies. Scout towers can be identified from other towers by the glass blocks at the top of the tower.
Notification of Non-Member Positions[ | ]
It will also display their locations every 60 seconds (adjustable value). This gives your town members the ability to hunt down and kill any trespassers and keeps enemies on their toes. Having about 60 seconds to move will allow enemies a chance to elude their pursuers and makes tunneling into an enemy town much less effective.
